Terms of use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the CertifiD platform, website, and programs, operated by Certifi Digital Learning Foundation ("CertifiD," "we," "us," "our"). By accessing this website, registering for a program, or using any CertifiD service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

01 Definitions

  • Platform means the CertifiD website, programs, certification frameworks and related services.
  • User means any person or entity accessing the Platfoprm, including institutions, educators, students, donors, CSR partners and visitors.
  • Institution means a school, college or educational body partnering with CertifiD
  • Program means any CertifiD-run initiative, training or certification track
  • Credential" means any badge, certificate, or recognition issued by CertifiD on completion of a Program

02 Eligibility

Educators, institutional representatives, and donors using this Platform must have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. Where a User is a minor (a student under 18), participation in any CertifiD Program is permitted only through and with the consent of the enrolling Institution and the student's parent or lawful guardian, as outlined in our Privacy Policy and Child Safeguarding Policy.

03 Description of Services

CertifiD provides a national ecosystem connecting institutions, educators, learners, industry partners, and CSR funders around technology-enabled education, including research, training, infrastructure enablement, and certification of digital transformation and skill outcomes. The scope, duration, and structure of any Program may be modified, paused, or discontinued by CertifiD at its discretion, with reasonable notice to enrolled Institutions.

04 Registration and Accounts

Where registration is required (including through third-party tools such as Google Forms), Users agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. CertifiD is not responsible for consequences arising from inaccurate information submitted by a User. CertifiD reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate access for any User who provides false information or misuses the Platform.

05 Credentials and Certification

5.1 Credentials issued by CertifiD reflect completion of a specific Program and assessment under CertifiD's own competency frameworks. They are not, unless explicitly stated, equivalent to or issued on behalf of any third-party technology partner.

5.2 Credentials are non-transferable and may not be sold, licensed, or claimed by any person or institution other than the verified recipient.

5.3 CertifiD reserves the right to revoke or invalidate any Credential obtained through fraud, misrepresentation, or violation of these Terms, at any time, without liability to CertifiD.

5.4 Verification of any Credential's authenticity may be requested through CertifiD's official channels. CertifiD is not responsible for credentials claimed through unofficial or unverified sources.

06 Acceptable Use

Users agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Misrepresent their identity, institutional affiliation, or eligibility
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to CertifiD's systems, data, or other Users' information
  • Reproduce, copy, or exploit any part of the Platform or its content without written permission
  • Use CertifiD's name, branding, or Credentials in a misleading manner Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of access, without refund where applicable, and may expose the User to legal liability.

07 Intellectual Property

7.1 All content on the Platform, including the CertifiD name, logo, badge designs, program frameworks, research, and written materials, is the property of Certifi Digital Learning Foundation, unless otherwise credited, and is protected under applicable Indian intellectual property law.

7.2 Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use CertifiD Credentials and badges solely for the purpose of displaying verified achievement, and not for commercial exploitation or implying a broader relationship with CertifiD than actually exists.

7.3 Trademarks, logos, and names of third-party partners (including Apple, Google, NVIDIA, and Canva) referenced on this Platform remain the property of their respective owners and are used strictly within the scope of CertifiD's actual partnership or licensing agreement with each, as detailed in our Disclaimer.

08 Fees and Payments

Where a Program involves a fee, or where a User makes a donation, payment terms, methods, and refund eligibility are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy. CertifiD does not store payment card or banking details; these are handled by our payment processor.

09 Disclaimers

The Platform and all Programs are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. CertifiD makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the outcomes of any Program, including but not limited to employment, admission, performance improvement, or institutional ranking benefits. 10 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Indian law, Certifi Digital Learning Foundation, its trustees, directors, employees, trainers, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the Platform, participation in aProgram, or reliance on any Credential, even where CertifiD has been advised of the possibility of such damages. CertifiD's total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by the User (if any) for the Program giving rise to the claim.

11 Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Certifi Digital Learning Foundation and its representatives from any claim, loss, or liability arising from their breach of these Terms, misuse of the Platform, or violation of any applicable law, including any claim brought by a third party as a result of such breach or misuse.

12 Termination

CertifiD may suspend or terminate any User's access to the Platform at its discretion, with or without notice, where there is reasonable belief of a breach of these Terms, misuse, or risk to other Users, including students.

13 Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 45 days, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the seat and venue of arbitration in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, and proceedings conducted in English. Subject to the above, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

14 Force Majeure

CertifiD shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disaster, government action, internet or infrastructure failure, or public health emergency.

15 Amendments

CertifiD may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes affecting active Institutional partners will be communicated directly.

16 Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, Child Safeguarding Policy, and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between the User and CertifiD regarding use of the Platform.
